Excellent value for money and quality; bright and very sharp

I was looking for an affordable 4K monitor and this one is great for the price. Pros: 4K resolution + IPS + 10-bit color from a brand I've at least heard of before. And for under $300, it's a single monitor. As far as I know everything is much brighter and more color accurate than my previous monitor! Solid metal base The top and sides of the monitor are very thin - around 1cm The panel itself is also quite thin - Built-in audio output (but NO speakers - see below) Cons: - Others pointed out the lack of VESA compatibility, but I personally did still had no plans to mount your monitor. My last monitor wasn't VESA compatible either. In any case, if necessary, look elsewhere. If you're hoping it has built-in speakers, it doesn't. However, like most people, I use my own. What it does have is audio out* via an HDMI 2 cable, which I actually use. This means that the sound comes from an HDMI cable connected to your graphics card, then use a cable that connects the monitor's audio output to the speakers. Personally, I use the Oontz Angle Soundbar, which is more than adequate for my needs (and sounds way better than any built-in monitor speakers I've heard). 27 inch screen but 1) it's the new standard for TV etc (as opposed to 1440p), I also watch movies and stream TV through my monitor and 2) the main reason I got it was really stinging sharp text in large spreadsheets I made for work and this is the rock for it. In that regard it's MUCH better than my previous monitor (HP 23" 1080p monitor)! And 3) for things like gaming you can set the resolution to around 1440p - that's "only" 60Hz - obviously; fact is that 1) a 4K monitor at say 144Hz currently costs hundreds and hundreds of dollars more - literally, and 2) even if a monitor had that capability, virtually no graphics card today would be capable of supporting that frame rate at that resolution latest games, so it doesn't make sense for the next few years at least - I have to admit that I'm not a mass expert myself who's compared dozens of latest high-tech monitors, first of all I'm just comparing it to my previous 1080p HP monitor and this one throws it off the rails so I'm happy with the purchase!
