Review on Experience Stunning Clarity with Philips 276E8VJSB 3840X2160 UltraNarrow DisplayPort Monitor: Tilt Adjustment, Flicker-Free, and Blue Light Filter Features Included by Lorenzo Mims

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Amazing value! the best in my rating

I ordered these due to remote work requirements during COVID-19. My work laptop is a Macbook Pro (15" Retina Mid 2015). My external display at work is a Thunderbolt monitor but it freezes at work. So after a meeting where we were told 1 .we can't get our stuff anymore and 2. there's no end in sight at the moment, decided to look around for Macbook Pro compatible monitors, I wanted at least 4K the resolution of Retina, and at the same time couldn't be too expensive Revain (and a competitor) I came across this monitor (listed on both). Pros: 1. Price. The cost of this monitor is ridiculous. 27" 4K60 (60Hz) with correct cables. The price is great. Comes with both DP and HDMI cables and supports two (2) inputs each so I can connect my personal laptop or desktop and do split or picture-in-picture. Mine has no dead pixels or problems.2. Brightness. These screens are up to 350 nits / 350 cd/m2, and they really are. The initial turn on of blue and subsequent whites were so bright that I had to turn the brightness down from 90 to 60 by default. But it is very bright.3. Compatibility. As I mentioned before, I've been looking for 4K monitors that are compatible with my Macbook Pro. And that. The HDMI cable gave me 4K30 (30Hz) but that didn't work for me. The traffic was a bit choppy at times. Plus MB has only 1 HDMI port. So I bought 2 MiniDP to DP cables and have been running both monitors at 4K60 ever since! Much more screen than I had before at work! 4. Easy to install and pack. They came in nice boxes, neatly wrapped so you can pull them out horizontally and peel off the top layer of foam. You can even fix the base before removing it with 1 screw. Bad: Nothing really bad. I think the worst part was I kept pressing where the power light thought it was a switch and the device didn't work. I didn't realize until I saw part of the instructions that the switch (and controls) are in the bottom center back. No comment: I haven't tried playing games on it, but I think it will be the same as any of the 60Hz monitors I have. Probably slightly better with the SmartResponse feature. YouTube videos were ok. I'll probably buy another one or two when I get back to work as I can take these two to work - they're so good!
