Bought these to wear in Scotland and London where rain was expected during my holiday. I figured the textured outsole designed for traction on the golf course and the waterproof upper would work well in the rain and on cobbled streets. I was right. Even though we only had 1 day of rain (little water actually) the shoes kept my feet dry and the cobblestone grip (uphill and downhill) worked great. I was very happy with this shoe. These shoes look like everyday shoes and are very comfortable. I have a wide foot (EEEE-EEEE) and these shoes were very comfortable. I never felt like walking around town in golf shoes. I was also surprised that the lugs on the outsole didn't seem to wear down when walking on the road. The springs are made of hard plastic/rubber, yet soft and pliable. They clung to the cobblestones and slid down the sidewalks and sidewalks like regular tennis shoes. I decided to try them on the golf course as they were golf shoes after all. I was skeptical that the clutch wouldn't hold, especially with all the torque that comes with the ball moving. I was wrong. These shoes gripped as well as any of my soft cleated golf shoes and were very comfortable on the golf course. I am impressed! If the upper was leather instead of synthetic it would look like an elite shoe but it does the job and I'm completely happy with it. Of course I have a pair of shoes that I can wear around town or on the golf course with equal comfort.
