Review on Stant OE Equivalent Fuel Cap: Unmatched Quality and Performance by Tom Roberts

Miraculously I lost my gas cap on my Honda Element a while back. I bought a $12 replacement cap from Autozone and the "Check Gas Cap" warning has been flashing ever since the replacement. Often the warning continued to appear after the gas was injected. A special symbol/indicator for checking emissions has recently been introduced. I had enough. I bought a fixed gas cap here and it arrived a day early. After installing the Stant gas cap (which appears to be of good quality) the light went away and I had no more warnings. Prior to purchasing this cover, I called the Atlanta Honda dealership and spoke to the parts/service department. They must have thought I was on a Megamet because they were offering me over $65 for a gas cap replacement. .
