Stant OE Equivalent Fuel Cap: Unmatched Quality and Performance Review

I have replaced my gas cap with this since I did a diagnostic test and was told it was my gas cap. They said if I change it the light will go out. So I bought these and the light is still on. I think I'll take my car to the mechanic now. Update 3/28/19 on the gas cap, still looks cheap because it's plastic, but after my car was repaired by the mechanics everything has been working fine so far.

Really wanted it to work. My check engine light is on and someone suggested replacing my gas cap as a possible solution. I put it on, heard a click etc. It seemed to fit my car perfectly. I used up a full tank of fuel much quicker than usual. striking. I put the old cap back on and my mileage is back to normal. (The check engine light never went off either, but that's another issue) Next time I'll just go to the auto parts store.

Good product for the price. I replaced the gas cap because my old check engine light kept coming on every few days. I bought it after reading that it could be caused by a broken gas cap (which is about 11 years old). I liked how it felt in my hand and it fits perfectly. The only problem is that it doesn't connect to the gas cap cable, so I have to remove the gas cap and put it on the roof every time I fill up with gas, but that's fine.

This #10834 fits Toyota Camry gen4/gen4.5 1998,1999,2000,2001. seems to offer a good seal and after 6 months of using a new cap it doesn't draw CEL codes. If there was a complaint I would say that the surface area of the cap is slightly smaller than the OEM size gas cap. That makes opening the lid a bit more difficult for people with thumbs or for people who need to carry something on their hands in winter. Cap for Honda CRV '99 great. This gas cap is of excellent quality, it's strong, it closes tightly and as I said; it fits perfectly on my 99 Honda CRV.
