My ice cream scoop broke and I thought it would be easier to find another ice cream scoop to replace it. Ha! I feel like Goldilocks - they were too small, too big, they couldn't be washed in the dishwasher and they come in ounces, inches and #. What should a human do? So I decided to try a #16 2.75" Scoop and Eureka! Made in China, this stainless steel shovel has a plastic handle and is dishwasher safe. Hooray! The size is bigger than the golf ball I wanted, I'd say he looks more like a racquetball so I washed it in the dishwasher and drank some sorbet then I washed it in the dishwasher and drank some more sorbet it worked great and the dishwasher is no problem the thumb release works well as well is easy (but can be tricky for those with thumb arthritis.) The plastic handle keeps me warm.a bit smaller in diameter to fit my hand comfortably while scooping hard ice cream or sorbet.Plus, this one fits the bill and makes a good one Portion of sorbet.
