Salifert makes some of the best aquarium test kits. They cost a bit more but tend to be more accurate than cheaper API kits. However, they are not as difficult to use as some other high quality test kits. If you keep a reef aquarium you know that it is important to maintain proper levels of calcium, alkalinity and magnesium. The Salifert KH/Alk test kit is easy to use and delivers very accurate results. I checked the Salifert kit test results again with the Hanna Checker and got almost the same readings. The only downside I have with this set (and why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5) is the expiration date. My previous Salifert KH/Alk has an expiry date of 04/2018, but in 2016 it gave me incorrect readings! I keep all my test kits in a cool, dry, dark place so storage is not a problem. Still, they're good sets and I still use them.
