Review on Nokian Tires Hakkapeliitta 9 SUV 235/55 R19 105T winter by Stanislaw Szczesny ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm very happy, it really is worth buying.

Auto Land Cruiser 200. Size 285/60 R18 SUV. Pressure on cold 2.3. Last season I rode Hakku 8 on the same car, so the comparison will be with her (Hakki 5 and 7 rolled on cars, so the comparison will not be correct). During the season I drove almost 20t. Km (October-April). The first 2t. Km I ran the tires very carefully. Without sharp starts, acceleration, braking, with smooth cornering. Through a thousand miles. I re-balanced the tires, rearranged them (further changing every 5t. Km) and by the end of the season only 1 spike on all 4 wheels was lost. Although I didn't lose it. I saw it crawl out halfway when changing shoes and pulled it out myself. In terms of handling and brakes, the tire surpassed 8ku. The rutting of the tire is not a hindrance (with some reservations. About it below) Particularly pleased with the braking properties of Hakki 9 on snow porridge, on which 8ka stubbornly refused to slow down even at harmless city speeds and constantly cracked ABS. Here I have a complete delight from 9ki. Even my 3-ton behemoth handles and brakes perfectly. In icy corners, you can clearly feel how 9ka clings to new side spikes and is less blown away than 8ku. At positive temperatures (I had a chance to ride at + 15 + 20), the tire is quite tolerably controlled and slows down on asphalt up to speeds of 120-130 km / h. I personally do not take into account noise at all when choosing studded tires. Now for the disadvantages. There are only two/three of them. The patency of the Hakki 9 is worse than that of the 8ki. She has some specificity. The tire rows well forward on any surface and in any direction, but the rear tire is reluctant to get out of the icy rut. When parking in reverse, the tires slip and cannot climb a slippery curb or get out of a rut. You have to tinker even with all-wheel drive. The second drawback is that the tires walk a little on clean asphalt. Have to steer. Sometimes marriage (cracking of rubber) comes across, but I was lucky with that. Everything is okay. Although in the Nokian group "FBontakte" they write that the tires are changed under warranty. All in all, I highly recommend the Hakku 9 for purchase. Tire is great

Pros
  • Excellent handling and excellent brakes on winter roads; quite good handling and brakes on dry and wet pavement, even at positive temperatures; does not feel a rut; relatively quiet; strong landing spikes; soft and comfortable
Cons
  • Insufficiently high cross-country ability, walks slightly on dry pavement, high price, comes across a factory defect (rubber cracking)

Pros below: Holds the road well. Excellent value for money in this size. With its cons: Noisy at speeds from ~ 80 km / h, but not critical
