I definitely thought it was crap and wouldn't work. I was completely wrong. Strangely, my glass bowl was filled with resin. I live in an apartment building and can't beat the price because of the neighbors so I gave it a try. It works 100% better than I expected. Now it's practically new. It would look like new if I tried to poke around the grooves with a pipe brush. But if you just soak it overnight, rinse and shake it under water, it's perfectly clean to me. 100% recommend this product.
