I was in dire need of a kennel. After checking Walmart and ruling out the igloo, I went to Tractor Supply. They had a wooden one for $149. I wasn't sure if it was big enough and didn't feel like I wanted to take the time to build it. If I wanted to do that, I would just build one. This is bought as an outboard motor because of the cost, size and ease of assembly. I read other reviews and decided to try this one. I have a German Shepherd puppy. The kennel had to be durable; Reviews have shown that it can take a bit of a hit. I knew it would be light and would need caulking. I also knew it would have to be mounted on a pallet or something. I couldn't find this kennel any cheaper. Shipping was "free" because I'm a Prime member. The price was lower than any other place I've looked. The kennel was set up in about ten minutes. I was alone and had back pain. The parts are light and easy to handle. The simple assembly allowed for a hassle-free installation. One customer stated that she found it difficult to connect as she lacked the strength. I haven't had this problem. Clips fit well and snap into place. I was very surprised and delighted. The only part that confused me at first was fitting the two decking boards together. This is because this is the first step in assembling the product, which I was unfamiliar with. Once I figured that out, everything else was a piece of cake. Before buying I measured my box. I used this cage for a rottweiler and a mastiff until they were about 6 months old. The kennel is slightly larger. I am more than satisfied with the sufficient size of this kennel. It's roomier than I thought it would be and I'm sure it will be big enough for my Shepard when he grows up. There was no talk of ventilation holes. I was concerned about this but figured it might be dangerous for the manufacturers to add vents and they did. One at each end. Letter stickers feel comfortable. I can draw letters but was more than happy to put his name on the house in seconds. There are marks where you can poke the stakes through the ground to keep it on the ground. I'll mount mine on a pallet or something. This is not a thick, plush, insulated kennel. It is a strong, tough, thin-walled plastic. Seems pretty strong. Assembled and assembled properly and then insulated appropriately with straw or similar, this is a perfectly good kennel and not at all as cheap as I was afraid it might look. It's a beautiful taupe with a modest blue ruffled roof. It has nice details. Cute! My dogs don't stay outside all the time so that's good for my purposes. I saved a lot of money and got my kennel in 2 days. I put it together in minutes and then cooked it for the company. Couldn't be happier!
