It should be noted that I use pens for all of my illustrations. Where do I start talking about how incredible I find this sketchbook? It really is the epitome of the perfect sketchbook, at least for my use. As an architect, he embodies everything I need in a sketchbook. Large and uninterrupted drawing surface, hard minimally textured note cover, flexible magnetic strap that fits my pen perfectly. It really has everything. While the 180 degree display shows how great work can be done, I rarely use mine for that purpose. The reason I love flat design so much is that it can stand on my desk while I sketch. Nothing is worth having a huge kink in the middle constantly trying to close the book while you work. Whichever page you are on, the book stays open. Not to mention that the magnetic tape is also very handy for storing pages. I don't know how many times I've closed my book while talking to clients and used the strap to mark my page. It's the perfect size, perfect design, perfect texture, perfect color. I haven't had any problems with it so far and am currently working on my fifth finished book. The only thing I could mention is that the corners can crack a bit, but I haven't had any issues with delamination or anything like that. I wouldn't recommend it but I use it as a coffee coaster a lot and haven't had any problems. However, after about a year of use, two of the books I had had the strap come loose. It was usually when I finished the last few pages. To be honest, that didn't bother me too much. It was almost as ceremonial a farewell as saying goodbye to the others. A wonderful book. At least for my use. I use pen for all my illustrations, can't tell how it reacts to pencil or other media.
