Review on WARN 95070 Premium Locking Chrome by Steve Wynn

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Installation was easy

It took me about 45 minutes to install it in my driveway and I didn't need any special tools. My old hub locks were so rotten that they would get stuck and the vacuum drive wouldn't work. This is a great replacement. They are supplied with a gasket to ensure tightness. I used my own copper grease instead of the included anti-seize for the small screws that hold it in place. I also used my own Lucas lube to lubricate the hub and threw away the lube that came with it. Now that I have manual lockouts, I now have short-range 2WD. My buddy with the Dodge truck is very jealous. My only complaint is that the new hub has six bolts to hold it in place while the original had three. How's that a complaint? Well, three holes that weren't used at the factory were corroded internally, making it difficult to get the new bolts in. I almost rounded off one of the hex heads, but with a little patience I screwed them all in properly. Take it easy on yourself, be patient and put in new screws a few times to get rid of the unused holes and you'll be fine. It's probably best to use the original screws in case you need to round the cap and use a vise to pry it out. Don't want to ruin your new screws. Installed in 2008 F250. I chose black because I like how it contrasts with the wheels.
