I bought two of these bits for my little home shop. They cut through double-sided melamine 3/4 like butter without chipping. A word of caution though. Unlike other similar bits I've used, they leave small grooves in the material they cut. The teeth are offset side to side so I'm not sure why the groove is left. This is a recessed groove. So if you tape the edge or line it up with another piece of wood, it's never visible and can become a conduit for glue flow. However, if for some reason you plan to leave the edge raw, the ridges will be visible.
