Review on πŸ”§ DEWALT Mechanics Tool Set 192-Piece: A Complete Solution for Automotive and DIY Projects by Prentice Martin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for the home mechanic

I was thrilled to finally get my hands on this socket set! I first ordered a 205 piece set but it just didn't have what I wanted in the tool box. This set includes everything related to sockets and wrenches. You don't need much to add to this kit when it comes to outlets. I work constantly on motorcycles and my truck. There are only a few connectors that are not included in this kit and you will need to purchase them separately, but that's to be expected. I decided I wanted to get a really good set of sockets and then complete that set separately with a set of screwdrivers and a set of wrenches so I could really tweak what I wanted. Other Dewalt kits come with wrench and screwdriver options, but that's a waste of space in my opinion. You'd still have to spend money on a set of wrenches with these sets, so you could buy a set that just focuses on heads! The set was in perfect condition. I know some people complain about the quality of the products but you won't be disappointed. The kits that had problems were probably factory lemons. Another complaint people had was the weight. I will say that this kit is quite bulky and weighs a bit more than the average kit. However, if you have trouble with this, separate different sized wrenches in different toolboxes. I don't mind the weight and will take this kit anywhere. I have this set and several other tools and carry them with me at all times. I'm a tall guy 6ft 220lbs so if you're shorter and don't exercise you might have issues with this kit. The box itself is durable and feels comfortable. It keeps all sockets in place even when transporting the kit. I really can't complain about this set at the moment. I'm doing a motorcycle engine repair and I'm fine! I also use these bushings on an air powered impact wrench and they work great. So don't worry that they don't have an impact rating. If you're nervous with a kit, just pick it up and get back to your projects. You will not regret it.
