I bought this set after a trip to Europe. Take a pin and poke a hole in the large, rounded end before cooking so the egg doesn't break while cooking. Cook the desired time from soft to firm. The cracker works great and use it on the big end. I love holding the egg in my hand while using it. You'll get used to how hard you pull it back to get the perfect crack. Once it breaks, place the narrow end of the egg in a holder that's the perfect size for a large egg. Take a table knife, stick it in the crack and cut the egg from above along the line of the crack and then remove it. Using a spoon, scoop the egg off the small tip and then enjoy the rest. The spoons in the set are perfect for this. They are beautifully polished stainless steel. Polished stainless steel crackers and porcelain cups. Great for kitchen storage, the case will help you stay organized so you don't lose what you need. I've been using the set for a month and it's perfect and the price is great. I highly recommend this product.
