The description is a bit misleading. When they say "mainly cornstarch" they mean 40% cornstarch and 60% thermoplastic PLA, which may or may not be made from cornstarch. PLA does not biodegrade at ambient temperatures and has the same degradation time as a non-bioplastic bottle without fully degrading over hundreds and thousands of years. PLA can be incinerated without releasing carcinogens, but nylon filament produces dioxins when burned. TLDR: This is a step in the right direction, but not sustainable circular product marketing in my opinion.
