It looks like a quality tool, from the aluminum body to the glass surface. Weight gives the impression of strength. It doesn't look like cheap junk. Unfortunately, the assembly process seems to involve someone hand-gluing glass to aluminum with cyanoacrylate glue (aka super glue, CA glue, or crazy glue) and their fingers get caught in the glue, leaving fingerprints all over the outside surface of the glass. Luckily it was glass and I was able to scrape off the adhesive very gently with a thin scraper without damaging the numbers on the dial. Not bad enough for a return but shows questionable quality control. Mine wasn't exactly balanced either, but was good enough to check the level in a resin pressure tank.
