Great Beer Great Price

Based on most reviews I seem to be one of the few who bought this with Hank's Hefeweizen set instead of Block Party Amber. Briefly about what turned out great. Before buying this kit, I also considered buying all the gear separately, but it's a lot more economical. This set, which includes a set of recipes and all the necessary equipment, costs $100. Buying just a set of recipes costs about $40. The cheapest food bucket and bottling bucket equivalents are around $25 each. So with these items alone, you're roughly worth the entire set. Then consider that a 5 gallon kettle is at least $30, a bottle capper is $20, an automatic siphon is another $20, and little things like a bottle brush, large spoon, and the like, and you never will get on buy everything individually. I originally wanted to get their deluxe kit but it really doesn't make sense. The main difference is that the deluxe kit comes with a pair of 5 gallon glass bottles, while this kit comes with plastic food buckets. Plastic buckets are fine and you'll never notice the difference when drinking beer. Oddly enough, the Deluxe also doesn't include the 5-gallon kettle that comes with the kit. The only thing you need to buy that is not included are the bottles. However, you can reuse any non-twisted bottles you have at home. I got 43 bottles of beer from this set. The cooking instructions were simple and clear. They also have a nice YouTube video that walks you through the whole process. I let it ferment for 2 weeks and then bottled it. I tried one 10 days after bottling and it was very fizzy. The beer I can most closely compare this to would be Leffe Blonde. Overall a great purchase and I'm currently working on my second brew.
