Review on 🚲 TAGVO Bike Mirror: Safely Navigate with Adjustable Rotatable Rear View Mirror for Mountain Road Bikes by Larry Morris

I have installed many Mirrycle End Mirrors on bikes I have owned and ridden, as well as bikes I have repaired and sold. I recently bought a fairly expensive recumbent with derailleurs on the handlebar ends. I could replace the switches with triggers or handles, but I like them so much I needed another way to mount the mirrors. There are several options for third party Mirrycle mirror mounts but none of them I wanted to use on this bike so I decided to try these TAGVO mirrors. For the price per pair and with Prime protection, it wasn't a big gamble. While I prefer handlebar toys that require a tool to install or remove (to make stealing a bit more difficult), the rubber straps on these mirrors make installation easier. Hold the mirror in place very lightly and firmly. I didn't even have to put a gasket on the steering wheel. I have no plans to remove and reinstall these mirrors, now that they are installed the way I want them they will never come off unless they break or something; But for those who have multiple bikes and want to swap out those mirrors or take them off every time they lock, the strap makes it easy. do not move, even when driving over fairly hard bumps and rough road surfaces. I haven't owned them long enough to talk about them but I'm hoping the pivot stays tight as unlike the Mirrycle mirror mount they can't be tightened if they come loose. When you're relying on a mirror, there's nothing worse than looking at it when you need to check what's behind you, only to find that the mirror is in the wrong position to do the job, and that it is annoying to keep repositioning the mirror. want to handle. I'll edit this section if this becomes an issue later. After just a day out of the box, everything looks fine. Note that the mirror mount cannot position the mirror arbitrarily far from the handlebars. This is perfect for me, but if you need to keep the mirror off your bars, this won't work for you. There are other mirrors with telescopic extensions or long flexible legs to consider if you want the mirror surface to have some clearance from your rods. The mirror itself is of very poor quality. The images in the mirror are fuzzy, partly because the mirror is quite convex and partly because it's just not very well shaped (spherical aberration). There are "stains" that cannot be removed because they are not stains but drops of glue or goo between the inside of the mirror and the black plastic mount. Also around the perimeter of the mirror is dried glue in some places. None of this renders the mirror useless, but if you're used to the sharp, crisp images you get with the Mirrycle mirror, you can't help but be disappointed. This is poor quality in both construction and image quality, so I had to deduct a star. I would be happier if the surface of the mirror was more flat (i.e. less convex) as that is a bigger issue for me than the overall poor quality of the mirror materials and design flaws. Mirror into the mount of this TAGVO mirror. This would allow me to get a high quality picture exactly where I want it on my new recumbent and in many future cases I could use this mirror and mount combo instead of the bar end mounted Mirrycle. I'll buy more if I get other bikes that can't handle Mirrycle in a bar end mount, but I'll keep looking for someone who makes a mount like the one on this TAGVO that works with the Mirrycle Mirror. Edit A: Well, I've removed and reinstalled these mirrors on my bike many times over the past month and I can definitely see how the little plastic tab that the rubber band is attached to can become damaged over time. I ALMOST bent the tab on one of the mirrors so now I know to be gentle with them. I still miss the quality of the Mirrycle mirrors every time I ride this bike, but these TAVGO mirrors work well enough and were definitely a steal for a pair.
