Review on πŸ”§ CNS Steering Gear Box Stabilizer Bar - Compatible/Replacement for 94-02 Dodge Ram 1500, 2500, 3500 (4x4) Gasoline and Diesel Models by Shane Watson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worked great on my 97 Ram 4x4

My vehicle is still from the factory and has factory-size tires. If you have one of these trucks, you need it. The steering gear itself is used on various other brands such as Chevy, but on Dodge the intermediate arm design seems to put odd loads on the steering gear, resulting in loose steering. It also wears out the bushing in the steering gear housing, causing the power steering fluid to leak. This part solves it. If you have loose steering and the steering gear is leaking, replace the steering gear while you perform this fix. It probably wouldn't hurt to swap out the stabilizer bar bushings and links while you're at it. It changed day and night how my truck drove.

Pros
  • understandable for the old
Cons
  • there are nuances
