Update 2 - New ringer installed and I'm happy with it. It doesn't have the problems that the first two I got had. It's a nice and sellable sentiment, and it's not divisive at first glance. Only time will tell how durable it is, but they back it with a one-year warranty and are constantly improving the design. Update - I contacted Timber through their website and let them know what was going on with my call. They sent me a new one without question and said they had a bad batch on the line. They thought they could get through them all, but it looks like some did. If you are like me and have received one that is having similar issues as mine, please contact them directly. They will enlighten you. I'll post another update when I get a new call. The first one I ordered came DOA as you can see in the first picture with the ball sitting at the bottom of the package. Definitely not the best first impression. Traded for another via Revain. This one arrived safe and sound by the time I installed it. The body of the lever split at the base and the lever popped out. See second picture. There is only one screw holding the case together at the top and a small plastic clip at the bottom that sits inside to hold the bottom of the case together. I was able to reattach the lever, but if you push the lever a little from the side, the bottom of the case splits and the lever can pop out. I will exchange it again just to see if this one is defective or just a defect. I will post an update.
