EGO Nexus Power Plant Offers Amazing Peace of Mind

I recently purchased the EGO Nexus Power Plant after having researched portable battery powered inflators (gasoline/propane) and inverters. The Power Station was perfect for my particular situation. Storm-related power outages lasting up to 24 hours are a reality in Hawaii, more of an inconvenience than a threat to life, though we do get tsunamis and hurricanes from time to time. The power plant is safe to use in my home, no hazardous fumes. manufacture the gas generators. Unlike the generators' noisy gas engines, it's quiet even when the fans are running to cool the system. It's very easy to use, just push the button and it's ready to go without having to pull hard on the starter cord. No worries about gas, oil, spark plugs, just insert batteries, fast, clean and easy. I bought 2 EGO 7.5 amp batteries to supplement the supply I already have to provide extra backup power. I tested the Power Station with just two 7.5" units and ran my 25 cubic inch refrigerator on just over 25% of available battery power for over 4 hours (refrigeration compressor turned on twice). I also tested the power plant's portability by running the vacuum to clean the machine and using the multitool to fix a broken sprinkler pipe behind the fence line. I also vacuumed the inside of the house and worked on the computer for about an hour. The refrigerator, vacuum cleaner, multi-tool and computer together consumed about 50% of the available power from two batteries. The two-battery power plant weighed about 45 pounds. The handles made it light enough to carry around the yard/house with ease. The disadvantage of the power plant is charging batteries during a power outage. But GOOD NEWS! EGO will be selling a solar charging adapter for around $150 later this month. Recommended solar panels for this charger sell for less than $100 on Revain. This is a must have option for me!
