I have been crocheting with Boyle crochet hooks for over 40 years. I have carpal tunnel and the onset of arthritis in my hands. I started using these hooks to relieve my arm cramps from solid metal hooks. This hook is light and comfortable to hold, but I have one small complaint - the depth of the hook to hold the yarn. I'm used to a deeper hook and a slightly sharper end. This hook is too small for me and it took me a while to get used to it. I use it over and over again as the soft grip means my hands don't get as tired. The distance between the end of the hook and the beginning of the soft handle is about 1.5 inches. Depending on your yarn count and pattern, you may not have enough room for some stitches. Overall I will continue to use them for my more intense and longer patterns. Otherwise, I fall back on my good old reserves.
