Review on πŸ” Improved SEO: Master Magnetics AM1PLC Magnetic Holder by Keith Alvord

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Design and construction are not well thought out.

This product is just average in my opinion. Because if you look closely at the product photos, you'll see that the faucets are welded to a magnetic stick that's mounted behind the stick. This will raise the magnet about 1/4". So if you want to attach it to your metal tool box (like other brands I've bought) that 1/4" of space is enough for it not to stick. Then add tools and it slides down. Of course you can drill the holes provided and screw to the tool box, but I didn't want to drill my tool box. Drill the tabs and mount them on the wall if everything is ok. Also, the magnets have an average holding power in my opinion as I buy better ones for about the same price. NOTE: I dispute that the magnet is rated at 20lbs. Attachment to any type of metal surface, and the fact that the steel on the face protrudes further than the surface of the magnet detracts from the 20 pound rating. Let's go back to the drawing board.

Pros
  • EASY INSTALLATION: Two ΒΌ" hole steel tabs spaced 16" apart, includes two drywall screws/anchors for mounting.
Cons
  • Requires outlet
