A few weeks ago I left my TV remote between the sheets and accidentally threw it in the washing machine with the sheets. Apparently this damaged my remote and I knew I had to get a replacement. When I stumbled across this one, I was intrigued because it was a universal remote and the price was quite affordable. When I received the replacement remote it came with a list of codes for different devices and brands and instructions. The AAA batteries required for the remote control are not included. As soon as I put the batteries in the remote control and pressed the power button, my TV turned on immediately. Without entering any codes or following any instructions, the remote controlled my TV (for reference, I bought this remote for my Samsung Series 6 Smart TV). I was shocked because I didn't have to do anything. I've used the remote all day and had no problems. However, the controls on my TV stopped working the next day. I entered the codes that were in the list provided and that didn't work either. Then I found that it came with specific setup instructions (provided in the user guide) and after following them the remote worked again. Since then I do not have problems anymore! I would recommend this replacement remote to anyone looking for an inexpensive universal remote. The remote itself is durable and lightweight. Remember to read the instructions first so you can have a smooth experience!
