Revain did a great job ordering and receiving the XYZ printer, but when the honeymoon is over and you actually use it for dual spools you will regret not continuing to shop. Why 2 coils? Because you won't believe your user experience could be that bad, and you'll make yourself believe that bad first role experience was just an accident. It's not like this. Unfortunately, by the time you realize this and try to return it, it will be too late. You get no relief from the company, but you do get an email saying "Please note that your purchase no longer meets our 30-day return policy and therefore we cannot refund or replace the printer." via XYZ Printers ( I have a da Vinci Mini, but almost everyone does)? Almost everything, but I'll limit this part of the review to the spool of thread. XYZ printers only work with these XYZ spools, which seems acceptable but is not the case. Again, XYZ printers ONLY work with XYZ filament, so if you run into a problem, there's nothing you can do about it. What's a problem'? I'll give you a short list. I've experienced each of them, as have many other people who have posted their frustrations online. 1) Proprietary XYZ printing software will suddenly tell you that you're out of ink have more. No you are not. They can be left at 50% but if the built in XYZ chip in the spool gives incorrect data, very bad. I have several spools with 5% to 50% residual thread but I can don't use them because the software says they're empty 2) It's possible that XYZ is building faulty chips into the spools, but that won't be your only problem, the printer itself can fail and waste your expensive filament After I have used the printer for 60 days and enjoyed OCD cleaning the nozzle and gears, I still curse the printer in the morning when I return to it after a nightly print job.Aside from the printer malfunctioning ver the XYZ spools would often (?!) tangle and just not spin to keep the filament flowing continuously. Its main task, just twisting and releasing the thread, regularly fails. 3) In addition to a spool jam and just a bad chip count, there is also a chance that your printer may appear to be printing but not printing. It's hard to imagine, so I uploaded a video. The spool is 50% full, the extruder is doing all the printing. But that's not the case. It doesn't actually print anything. There is a noise and you are using power, but the printer does not print. I could give more examples, but I hope I made my point clear and helped you in your decision.
