Review on πŸ”’ Set of 2 Master Lock Keyed Alike Padlocks - Solid Brass, 3/4-Inch Body Width (Model 120T) by Carlos Cardoso

Revainrating 2 out of 5

These locks are super cheap and super secure

I received a package from UPS, opened the package and padlocked the water bib to turn off the faucet. I tried to open the lock from the object and when the key was turned on, the lock fell apart in my hands. The lock came out with the key, and small metal pins and springs fell on the table. There is a small hole on the side of the lock that wasn't there before. If you look at other locks, if you look closely you will see a small circle smudged with the rest of the lock which hides it very well. There appears to be a pin in that small circle that holds the lock together. If this circle falls out, which I happened to have, with no pressure, then the pin falls out and the whole lock falls apart. These locks are super cheap and super unreliable. They are intended to prevent occasional crimes, but nothing more. Really cheaply made. In addition, one of the locks could not be opened with a key. The other lock was difficult to open and at first I thought it was broken. But then unlocked after a few tries.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Doubtful
