Short version: I agree with other reviewers that these are well made banana plugs. I hope they will be useful to me in the end but they just don't work for what I bought them for. Longer version: I used these with a Jameco breadboard (WBU-208-R) to connect screw terminals to the top. Unfortunately, they have some fatal flaws that prevent this from happening: 1. The spring in the retractable shell is strong enough to push the connector back out of the screw terminal. The red tip at the end of the plug prevents it from penetrating the screw terminal far enough to make good contact (which probably contributes to problem #1), even with the shroud removed. 115 meters and they work great there. So if I ever need to make some special multimeter leads, they'll be great for that.
