Review on 🩳 Heavy Duty 3D Padded Protective Shorts: Ultimate Hip and Butt EVA Pad Gear Guard by Jeff Jordan

Bought two items from the same listing just different colors (green and black). In fairness it already looks different on the list, but the quality seems to vary greatly between the two. The black one (pictured right) is an adult S which fits my 11 year old daughter who is about 54 inches tall and weighs 80 pounds. it seems to have decent coverage (it fits under her hockey pants, btw). My daughter said they feel good and she's looking forward to trying it out on ice (they fell on the floor and said it works). The green (pictured left) I ordered for myself (5'3, 150 pounds) is XXL and goes well with some clearance. My problem was that as you can see in the picture the amount of padding on both pairs is pretty much the same, if not less, on my XXL pants. When I tried them on and sat on the wooden floor I couldn't tell exactly where the pads were protecting because the coverage area was so small. It also seemed like my tailbone wasn't protected due to the way the round pads were positioned/shaped. I would return the green size XXL if my husband didn't like it (5ft 7in, 160lbs - fits him well). He's a better hockey player than me so he doesn't fall as often or as hard as me so he really liked that the padding was minimal. In short, I would recommend black, but not XXL. green. Perhaps the smaller ones have a better pant-to-pad ratio.
