Much better than a serrated edge
Much better than a serrated edge as the flesh will not tear. This is the one that should come with the slicer but I think they want you to spend the extra money on a nicer product so they give you a lousy serrated slicer blade. Dishonest or customer-centric business practices. The blade itself is perfect for cutting anything. I make a lot of cured and smoked meats, so I like it when it's cut without ridges. It just looks better. It slips right through. A very impressive blade to have in your food slicer.
