I had a similar experience as a recent reviewer. The hose seemed good at first glance. I installed it and it doesn't drip. After five months I had trouble starting my car. I found that the hose had come loose from the motor. I was surprised at how easily I could slide the hose back onto the pipe without loosening the clamp, which was still tight and partially embedded in the surface of the hose (indicating it was still properly tightened). I compared the defective hose to the remaining unused piece of the same 7 foot length. The defective hose was 1/32 inch larger in ID. See my photo for comparison. The unused part is on the left and the faulty part is on the right. I have now removed all the hoses from my car and put the original hose back on. That's when I realized how stiff the new hose had become. My old inner tube, original to my 32 year old car, is slightly softer and more flexible than a new inner tube in just five months of use. I figured I'd play it safe and replace the old original hose, although it showed no signs of wear. If you decide to purchase and install this hose, which I strongly DO NOT recommend, you had better do it every time before you start the car, you must tighten all the connections to make sure they are securely fastened. Or just buy a tube from a reliable brand so you can get a good night's sleep. I can only imagine what could have happened to me if my engine was hot or I was driving when that time bomb went off. Do not take any risks. This hose is dangerous.
