I will be using these for woodworking to index the splice jig. I use two or three 1/8" blades with a .005" spacer to ensure the fit isn't too tight. I measured the sticks several times with a Mityutoyo micrometer, rotating the sticks each time. The actual length across the planes for the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 inch rods were 0.997, 1.998, 2.990, 4.008, 4.996 and 6000 inches. For woodworking, that's not too bad, but note that 2 bars will come out more than .005". They are not designed for precision work like machining. The good news is if you screw them into the mating surfaces they will be fine and the bars will be straight with a dial indicator. Now that I've thought about it, it doesn't really matter what the length is, how long you measure it and account for the delta.
