Review on 🔧 ACDelco U7000 Professional Fuel Tank Selector Valve: Enhanced Performance and Reliability by William Hunter

My 1976 K10 doesn't use this valve for direct mount. They say it fits, but not without effort and modification. You will need a 6-way valve for this year's truck, but this year only uses a 12 volt single wire signal to actuate the valve. The next section is for novice engineers. This valve requires +12 and ground on two pins to work continuously in one direction and reverse polarity to work on the opposite tank. The single wire gives you +12 or ground (+12v for the left tank, ground for the right). So if you are using a normally open DPDT relay designed for weather protection you can use this simply wired output valve to activate that valve appropriately and use it on a truck without tearing apart the entire wiring system to power it adapt to this valve design. Simply glue the relay to the valve with epoxy or mount them side by side in convenient locations. Also note that you will need a fitting to fit this valve which is not included. I understand that vintage 80's trucks can use this for its intended purpose, but not mid 70's trucks.
