The Inverness Foundation is deep in colour, quite high and bouncy to the fingering and just beautiful. Made from a 4-layer material consisting of 80% merino wool and 20% polyester, it is ideal for socks. The yarn is very soft and does not unravel easily, as I found during weaving by dividing the skein into identical 50g balls. I didn't see any knots or thin spots when unwinding the skein and the hand dyed gradient was well consistent throughout. The apparent quality compares well to any other in my opinion.
