I'll admit there's room for cheaper parts and you might agree with cheap parts, but I don't think they're made the same way. I replaced my original (1998) belt tensioner with a cheap AAP part about 5 years ago, it did the job but the quality was lacking. I rarely have problems with ACDelco/Delphi/Genuine GM parts and I swear by it. As long as I can buy new ones I will use ACDelco/Delphi/Genuine GM parts. It was the perfect replacement and I was happy with my purchase. The spring has been enclosed to protect it from the elements and dirt.
