Very dissatisfied with replacement parts

Very dissatisfied with this product, tried to return this product for a refund, Revane said it took more than thirty days, I had the product on my surburban, probably around six months, Had to buy new because it doesn't tighten the belt. I don't understand how Revain allows China to sell this nonsense to a paid audience.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Clarity

not for c3500 5.7L 1997

not for c3500 1997 with 5.7L engine. it looks like it will fit and the screw provided fits and looks very very similar to the part being replaced. However, the rear is missing a pin that attaches the tensioner to the block to keep it from rotating. Maybe it's for another year.

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • Displacement

Unbeatable price and functionality

I have been a car mechanic for over 30 years. Many people are quick to look to pre-OEM parts because of the cost. My years of experience confirms that OEMs consistently outperform aftermarket parts and their costs are closely related to aftermarket prices. I recommend OEM in all repairs.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Modern

It seems to work, however. in Timing Parts

First of all I don't think this is an original Delco AC part, I think it is Gates. The reason is that it came in a plain white box. The installation instructions also refer to the Gates brand. The other problem is that either the tensioner is defective or something else is wrong with my car. The stock tensioner on my 2000 s10 Xtreme wore out and kept moving while driving, especially when shifting gears, and this one does the same.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • expensive

Made from cheap parts

I'll admit there's room for cheaper parts and you might agree with cheap parts, but I don't think they're made the same way. I replaced my original (1998) belt tensioner with a cheap AAP part about 5 years ago, it did the job but the quality was lacking. I rarely have problems with ACDelco/Delphi/Genuine GM parts and I swear by it. As long as I can buy new ones I will use ACDelco/Delphi/Genuine GM parts. It was the perfect replacement and I was happy with my purchase. The spring has been…

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Some flaws
