Broke on the first use

Used to secure my 40 lb kayak and on the trip home the front crossbar broke off, sending my kayak and the holder attached to the crossbars flying onto the highway. Seemed chintzy when installing, but I figured since it was rated to hold over 100 lbs that it would be fine. Cannot recommend this product, it’s not safe

The cross bars may not be strong enough to hold heavier weight items, which can be dangerous while driving
