I needed to replace some old exterior trim pieces on the house and discovered that the old ones had been rather aggressively caulked at some point in their service. Due to angles and clearances, I couldn’t remove much of the old caulk with a standard box cutter without damaging other framing members so I knew I needed something efficient to take after what remained. When I saw these, they looked like they’d be the right size to get in while staying flush. Thankfully, that was very much the case and the remaining clean-up work was finished quickly once they arrived. The one I used has held its edge just fine (didn’t discover any concealed nails with it, thankfully!), so that tells me that they’re made to a very good quality level. Attaching the one I used to my cordless OMT was simple and it stayed put throughout its use. My experience with these gives me more confidence for future caulk removal work and I’m glad to have spares on hand!
