This simple and reliable mechanical solenoid gave me more peace of mind when traveling than I expected. I push the switch and it opens or closes the circuit. Works every time. I am using this solenoid to connect my solar arrays to an under hood generator. I use this connection, i.e. the switch, only occasionally and never doubt its reliability. This setup charges my batteries while driving and helps keep my batteries and I happy when the sun is out. Very pleased I spent a little more on this quality Cole Hersee branded solenoid.
