This installs very easily. First I installed the part to the frame and then lined up the lock part on the door with the latch inserted into the frame part (so I knew they lined up). I then taped the (tape) lock in place with two small pieces of tape so I could screw the screws in by hand (I used a cordless screwdriver but didn't have to drill first even on my solid wood doors). because the screws are not very long.). All of this installed in about 3 minutes. It has a good solid, secure fit. We've been using it for a few weeks now (replacing an old hook and eye lock that kept falling out of a cleaned hole in the door) and are very pleased! The price was great too! worth your money!
