. The connector itself dangles and slowly rotates. It was also too low and got in the way of my 2013 Honda Civic Si. I basically knocked the phone off the stand every time I changed. Did not fit. Not to mention that I didn't receive the magnetic plates when I received them. I returned it for a refund. I also had a vent mount but lost it. Also, it will definitely block ventilation and spoil the air vents over time. The magnetic windshield suction cup is great (so far) though. I was afraid that the magnetic plates for my Samsung Note 8 weren't good enough and it would hit me in the face as soon as I hit the brakes. but luckily it works great. I can easily mount my huge phone on it and have even tested it with some sudden "seatbelt checks". still good to go. Recommended over other versions. Update 20210422: After a very long ride with it I have to say that this is not the best option for LARGE HEAVY phones with a case. My Samsung Note 8 will hold up, but enough knocks and bumps will loosen it and you'll have to constantly fix it. otherwise it just falls off. Sadly I ended up replacing it with something that REALLY HOLDS my phone. I really wanted to keep this, but it just doesn't work for super big phones like the Note 8. I'm sure it would be great with smaller, lighter phones.
