Butyl tape is not easy to use. I think the reader should understand that it sticks to itself very easily. If this happens, there is nothing you can do. You just have to cut it out and start over. I used it to seal screws through a waterproof membrane. It seals the screw hole and membrane penetration. I didn't remove the nonstick side because you don't need to remove the nonstick side in this application. But the reader should understand that removing the non-stick side does not give you a second chance. If you screw something up, you have to replace everything and start over. The tape I bought did the job it was supposed to do and I am very happy with the product.
