Review on TP-Link Archer T3U USB WiFi Adapter - Dual Band Wireless Network Adapter with MU-MIMO Technology, USB 3.0, Supports Windows 10, 8, 7, XP/Mac OS X 10.9-10.14 by Li Mei ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value for money, I recommend.

When I first connected, I immediately connected to 5G, the day worked without problems, not a single gap and the speed was impressive. On the second day, I didn’t want to connect to 5G, in general, I didn’t see any network, only 2.4G. Whatever he did, in the end, reviews to him helped. I connect to the Keenetic Giga router (KN-1010), the distance to the router behind a reinforced concrete wall is about 4 meters. Domra operator, Internet speed 40Mbps. The connection problem turned out to be due to the 5G channel, apparently for the first time the connection just matched the desired channel for the adapter. The channel was forced to 44 in the router settings (I tried others, 44 turned out to be the most stable), in the adapter settings through the device manager I set the network to only 8022022 a / n / ac, unchecked the power saving checkbox there, for more than two months the 5G network has been working without failures at all , the speed does not cut, the connection is very stable, the drivers are standard windows 10, in online games the ping remained as if on a wire. At maximum load, the adapter consumes 0.410 amperes, tested USB-tester HiDANCE J7-H. I bought with bonuses in Amazon for 949 in Irkutsk.

Pros
  • Compact. Status indicator. High connection speed, 5G 866mbps, 2.4G 400mbps. Ping over a 100Mbps wire to the router was 1ms, with this adapter 2ms. The adapter is connected to USB2.0, the download speed to the router disk is 33MB / s, the wire was a maximum of 12MB / s, with USB3.0 it should be much higher. Very stable connection, never disconnected for the entire time of use.
Cons
  • Inexperienced users can seriously fray their nerves with connecting to 5G. Overpriced.

Suitable for pentests (works on Linux, drivers are on github - they are installed elementarily) I recommend

Its pros: Does its job well, excellent speed at 5MHz including more stable coverage at 2.4MHz Cons below: Doesn't protrude too much from laptop

The device has a clear interface and simple settings. Allows you to maintain a stable connection. Working with large media files, such as games, HD movies, is not difficult. Good signal transmission in an apartment brick building.

Got pros: Gives good speeds at both frequencies Different cons: The adapter is complete crap, the connection is constantly broken or cut down, I do not advise you to buy it.

Some pros: Nice device! High speed. Different cons: Sometimes loses the network, but not for long.

Pros: Compact if someone cares. Cons below: Constant dumps at 5GHz, recently it has become hard to hang + windows blue screen ., you will have to change to something else.

Some pros: You just insert the Wi-Fi adapter into the system unit and forget about the wires forever. Its cons: It slows down a bit in speed if the Internet was connected to the system unit by wire.
