I have a 2008 Audi A4 and the original factory part wore out a few years ago. I knew I wasn't willing to pay the dealer's price to replace this part, but I was also too old to hold the hood with one hand (or my head!) and with one hand "my car." to wait” when pouring liquids; anyone who owns the same car knows that hood is damn heavy! At the same time, I was reluctant to order this part and replace it myself. I bought this part and to my surprise it was so easy to replace!
