💪 Maxpow Hood Struts Lift Support for A4 2003-2009, S4 2004-2008 6444 SG101019, Single Pack Review

This is my second. Put one on my 2007 Audi over 3.5 years ago and it still works. I got one for my 2008 Audi last month and expect it to work well too.

Lowest price first! It fits my Audi A4 2006 B7 perfectly. Really easy to install. The only small issue I had was that it was a little tight initially when closing the hood. I sprayed on some WD-40 and it seemed to help with the stiffness! In general, the purchase was worth it!

Fits perfectly and only took a few minutes to install. Functionally it works just as well as the original and keeps the hood from hitting my head. The bonnet seems to open faster due to more pressure, but that's to be expected given the old block has probably worn out in recent years.

Suitable for 2009 Audi A4 B7. Easy, opens well. The top corner connector fits the standard rack. I bought another gas strut that said it would fit a 2009 Audi A4 but it was too long, the top connector wasn't angled and went down preventing the hood from closing. I suspect it was for version B8 and not B7. I returned it and bought this one. I hope this helps someone to avoid this problem.

The hood brace on my 2009 Audi A4 started to fail at 90,000 miles and definitely needed replacing. Looking at Revain I found this inexpensive hood brace that was perfect for my car. Although it's a few inches shorter than my OEM, I'm not complaining as it's still a very good height (and it's my fault for not double checking). The quality was much better than expected as it is much cheaper than the manufacturer. Audi! Costs money!

Could the stand be defective? I tried to insert this post and when I loosened both brackets with a screwdriver the bracket somehow went back into the cavity preventing me from even inserting the post. I tried unsuccessfully to remove the clip and now the hole was blocked by this clip preventing it from attaching. It looked like a solid stand, but I may have received a defective product. My lift bracket failed quite suddenly on my 2004 Audi A4 Avant to the point where it would not hold my hood at all. Being on a budget, I was pleased to see this inexpensive $13.99 replacement.
