My 19 pound fluffy mixed breed girl is very nervous riding in our van and will try to get close to me, almost almost several times during the ride jumps under your feet. Now she is comfortable and secure, but has room to reposition herself in her new padded car seat. I am handicapped and quite weak. I didn't realize that the pads had to be pushed and worked in all the different areas, which was quite difficult for me. But I think a normal strong person would be fine. It is well constructed, the clips and material are of good quality.
