Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Nintendo Paper Mario: The Origami King - Switch SPANISH - Switch - Unleashing the Origami Kingdom by Bill Snyder

Revainrating 5 out of 5

31-year-old first-time Paper Mario player

I actually liked this game a lot more than Super Mario Odyssey, although reviews generally favored it over Origami King. I've never played any of the paper based Mario games and this was my first game and I really enjoyed it! Also, I'm not sure why that particular listing says the game is in Spanish. I played it entirely in English, and the body of the game was entirely in English. The only thing I didn't like about this game is that the battles are really repetitive. Every now and then I like the logic puzzle involved in figuring out fights, but at times it reminded me of how Pokemon spawned on the inevitable grassy areas too many times before you could use Repels. I was distracted. The graphics are so gorgeous and the storyline is also very cute. There was a part where I almost cried because I was so emotionally invested in these stupid characters. In fact, it seemed pretty deep for a "childish" game at times. I ended up finishing the game in about two weeks working full time lol. Now I'm tempted to go back and play other Paper Mario games.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
