Review on πŸ“± High-Definition Invisible Film Skin Guard for Pioneer AVIC 8200NEX In-Dash Player – Scratch-Resistant & Bubble-Free Screen Protector by Amy Collins

This overview title is actually only for documentation purposes to protect my interests.

I bought this screen to protect the screen of a Pioneer AVIC-W8400NEX stereo head unit. I followed the instructions verbatim, mainly because I'm a perfectionist when it comes to screen protectors/screens. Installation requires the use of dish soap and water and the removal of all liquids from behind the screen once it is attached. I don't think much thought was put into these instructions as they relate to stereo head units and not WATERPROOF PHONES! The machine was turned off, as was the main unit, as instructed when I donned the shield. Then I squeezed the shield to squeeze out the solution. Gravity is what it is, the water immediately flowed/merged to the button below the screen and hit it. I very quickly took a cotton cloth and wiped away as much water as I could see. But at this point I was nervous. The day was hot (plus 90 degrees) so I decided to wait a few hours before turning on the stereo. When I got back to the car later that day, started it up and turned on the stereo, those same buttons began cycling through various customizable colors for the user to choose from, and moments later the head unit drove through. and then turns off. At this point, I'm VERY, VERY nervous that a $1,000 stereo head unit isn't junk. I quickly turned it off and left it on for five days hoping that time as well as the heat would fix the situation / dry up the moisture created by the situation. At this point, six days later, the stereo is working perfectly. But how do I know if there is irreparable damage that only time will tell? That's the point of this review - documentation for both the product manufacturer and Revain, just in case the main stereo unit breaks due to ill-conceived instructions.
