Wrong Size - Coupling Clamps and Pins
These are not actually 1/4" pins. They go through the hole of the 1/4" pin, but there is too much play under the second tab and the pin slips into the "loop". Also, it's a lot bigger than it should be. The overall length is 1.6375 inches and the wire diameter is 0.0935 inches. In comparison, a Home Depot 1/4-inch hitch pin is 1.175 inches long and has a wire diameter of 0.0795 inches.
