I'm having a strange problem with my EXT/Avalanche truck. The whole truck just dies and loses power for no apparent reason. Click the cable on the battery and it will work again. I reconnected after disconnecting and even swapped out the battery, but the weird event kept happening. The wires in the cable will corrode or break after a few years. I got this and it solved the problem. This is perfect for my 08 Escalade EXT. Lift and remove the right front wheel for easy access to the starter. Do not overtighten the connector on the starter end. If you do this, when you reconnect the battery you will find that your car will try to start. This is obviously some kind of torque connection and I had to back down a bit and now it works fine. Check this before you bother to put the tire back on and lower it to the ground. You'll swear if the truck tries to start itself if you touch the battery's pole.
